10th July 2018 – GRAITEC, an international BIM, Fabrication and Design software developer for AEC, and Autodesk® Platinum Partner across Europe, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Arma Plus, a French based company that provides IT and Fabrication Software solutions for the construction, steel and concrete industries. Financial details have not been disclosed.
This acquisition complements Graitec’s strategy to become the leader in BIM for structural design, detailing and fabrication, whilst empowering the company to improve their existing software portfolio, and the development of pioneering BIM solutions.
At a time when technical and financial considerations have never been so high on the agenda in the construction industry and where BIM opens new exciting areas, professionals are standardizing and industrializing more and more of their processes. As part of this move, design and fabrication worlds are converging. The acquisition of Arma Plus occurs in this context where Graitec, a global champion of Design & Detailing solutions for construction, now enables customers to continue the journey by including fabrication in the process.

Graitec’s current rebar and concrete software application – Advance BIM Designers, features a collection of apps for automating structural design-to-detail BIM workflows and runs on multiple popular Autodesk platforms or as a standalone solution. The combination of this technology together with Arma Plus’s A+ Software solution will enable Graitec to deliver end to end concrete and rebar solutions, from initial design and detailing, out to rebar production control and precast production management and finally onto construction with a contractor’s rebar and supply management solution.
Furthermore, with Arma Plus bringing over 30 years of rebar knowledge to the table, GRAITEC can continue to support their client base on their 3D rebar detailing journey and accelerate existing developments.

Bièvres, France, April 2018 – GRAITEC, an international BIM, Fabrication and Design software developer for AEC, Autodesk® Platinum Partner across Europe and Gold Partner across USA, Canada and Russia announced today that it acquired 100% shares of Procad, Montreal, Canada on Wednesday April 4th . (The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.)
The acquisition of Procad reinforces the position of Graitec in Canada where the company is already operating as (1) Autodesk Gold Partner; (2) developer and reseller of 2 world standard structural analysis & design software: Advance Design and Advance BIM Designers and Advance Workshop, MIS Solution; and (3) as service provider and Research & Development partner for engineering offices and manufacturers.
Procad brings with them a team of BIM experts as well as over 30 years of presence and customer commitment on the Canadian market.
Now with the full support of a major international group, Procad will gain an extended capacity to deliver a new range of professional services around BIM. This in turn will deliver more value to customers with an extended portfolio of unique complementary products, an example of which, is that all Graitec subscribers to Autodesk Revit receive a complimentary Graitec PowerPack with over 50 bonus tools to increase their productivity.
An increased investment capacity will, in time, enlarge the operational area and expand focus to include advanced simulation and fabrication management systems to better serve current and new customers.
Procad and Graitec Canada will merge in the coming weeks and both teams will join their strength to better serve customers and develop the business of Graitec in Canada.

The Graitec Group welcomes Julio Alfaro as Senior Application Engineer
MONTREAL, February 5, 2018 – Graitec is proud to announce that Julio Alfaro has joined the firm’s North American office as a senior application engineer.
Recognized throughout the steel fabrication market for his technical expertise, Julio advises clients on national and international BIM matters and specializes in Structural Steel Fabrication. Julio strategically guides clients in their dealings with their BIM challenges, and mandates to win more business, be more profitable and efficient using the latest technology. He also has specific expertise with Autodesk Advance Steel and Autodesk Revit.
Julio’s practice includes helping customers implement, customize, support, and train their employees around the Autodesk BIM portfolio.

MONTREAL, February 14, 2018 – Graitec is proud to announce that David Naylor has joined the firms Montreal office as Senior Application Engineer.
David Naylor is an application engineer providing Advance Steel support for all North American customers. As part of the Autodesk acquisition of Advance Steel and Advance Concrete back in November 2013, David brings a wealth of industry experience in structural engineering, from traditional steel, concrete, and timber design, to seismic design and spectral analysis. In 1995 he obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
Prior to coming to Canada, David spent 13 years working in the United States where he worked on worldwide projects for Parsons, PCL Construction, and Walt Disney Imagineering. It was in 2004 during his time at Disney working on the Expedition Everest project that David developed a specialized focus on BIM integration. Now, he’s back to join the Graitec family to support Graitec customers in their BIM challenges.
