Optimize your work by defining and saving commonly used structures. With the Graitec PowerPack for Autodesk Advance Steel an entire structure can be defined and saved for reuse from project to project, eliminating the need to restart common structures each and every time. This tool utilizes an easy to use but in-depth rule-based system to generate many different types of structures. These structures can be added to the library and recalled with little or no modification from one project to the next.
New with 2020 is the ability to use any member section profile throughout the process when developing the structure.
From the Structure Designers dialog, a user has access to the following options. Outline commonly used profiles, set building and bay definitions and define portal frames, posts, rails, bracings, independent platforms, openings and more. After inclusion to the library is complete, all of these settings can be recalled so that standards are maintained.
In addition to the straight lined industrial and multi-storey type buildings that are available, these tools will also allow for the creation of various nonlinear types of structures such as those with tapered beams and columns and curved roof.
In addition to its flexibility and member control, this tool is also designed to run across multiple platforms including Autodesk® Advance Steel (as part of the PowerPack for Advance Steel) and GRAITEC Advance Design. This provides a BIM handover process that allows for intelligent model-based workflows between Engineers and construction professionals.
